UBettina Wethu is the local version of the international hit series Ugly Betty. The series cast Farieda Metsileng to play the starring role of Bettina (Betty).
The show tells the story of Bettina Sikhakhane who by accident secured a job at Nubia Magazine. She filled in the position of personal assistant to Dingani Jiyane, the new editor-in-chief.
UBettina Wethu also stars Tsholofelo Mashishi and Lesego Tlhabi. The Mzansi version of the show Ugly Betty has hit the screen.
Many fresh faces appeared on the show and also that of those familiar in the industry. The show is an SABC1 television drama series.
The casts had to submit their auditions online at the beginning of the year. They surprised the directors with their outstanding performances.
