The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) have announced their payment dates for February, 2024.

Social grants like the Older Persons (Pensioners) Grant, Disability Grant, and the Children’s Grant are paid to recipients every month. Assistance is made available to those passing the basic means tests for each grant.

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) have released the latest payment dates for February social grants.

Social grants will be paid into bank accounts for those who have listed banking details in their profile. Collection is also possible at participating retailer, including SPAR, PNP and Boxer Stores.

If your grant has been approved, the following dates are set out for social grant payments

SASSA payment dates for February, 2024

Social grants can be collected from the beginning of February, 2024.

The first social grant to pay is the Older Persons (Pensioners) Grant: 2 February.

The second social grant to pay is the Disability Grant: 5 February.

The third grant is the Childcare (Childrens) Grant: 6 February.

Approved social grants will become available on these dates. Rejected grants can appeal, but must do so in writing.

If you are getting your social grant with a gold card, the good news is that Gold Cards won’t expire in 2024. Despite prior news, the social security agency cards remain valid for the rest of the year – or until announcing otherwise.
