This is according to fellow Buccaneer Sandile Mthethwa, who feels Mofokeng has all it takes to prosper overseas.

The diminutive midfielder jetted out to English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers for a trial earlier in the season however it remains to be seen whether a move will materialise.

“I think he is a good young player and he has shown what he can give to the club and to the country also,” Mthethwa said as quoted by KickOff.

“I think there is a lot more that is still coming from him but the only thing I can say is he should just be humble and continue respect.” He will go [abroad], for me, he is an abroad player.

“He needs to go abroad. I’m not saying the PSL is not good but I feel like to play in the Champions League, to play in the big stages you have to go abroad.”
