For his birthday this year, beloved disc jockey and producer Mr JazziQ — real name Tumelo Manyoni decided to give back to the community of Alex, a popular township located near Sandton in Johannesburg.
‘IT’S A BEAUTIFUL THING’: MR JAZZIQ DOES CHARITY WORK ON HIS BIRTHDAY
To mark his 29th birthday, the music maker shared his gratitude to the community that raised him. In the post, the popular DJ and producer could be seen seated alongside a number of packed goods in what appears to be a kitchen as seen in the Instagram post shared on Tuesday, 5 March.
“Had to spend my birthday with the community that raised me. Very thankful for all the blessing,” Mr JazziQ captioned his post.
This is not the first time Mr JazziQ worked on a project aiming to impact someone else’s life. According to ZiMoja, in 2023, he pulled off all the stops to avail himself to meet a child who had recently had his tumour removed from his stomach. Lungile Mabasa’s dream is said to have come true when he got the chance to rub shoulders with the Amapiano star. This is because Mabasa also dreamed of rocking the decks like Mr JazziQ.
“I love that I am able to inspire others to become something and do better in whatever they want to achieve in life. It’s very overwhelming for me,” Mr JazziQ was quoted as saying in a radio interview on Jacaranda FM.
“If it’s giving back, especially to your own community. It’s a beautiful thing, may you never lack! Some are in a position to give back, and they’re not even bothered! But someone once said, giving is a calling – and not everyone is called 🤍,” @miss_phori said.
“A true Philanthropist, There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching out and lifting people up. Danko Mrjazzyq🥇,” @thatotycoon replied.
“May God give you long life my dog and good health 🙌,” @xolisa021 wrote.
“Great to see what you’re doing @mrjazziq to inspire the community as a whole.❤❤👏👏,” @shaunkhalifa95 commented.
