Kaizer Chiefs could do worse than consulting our transfer wish list, complete with scouting profiles and estimated prices.

Kaizer Chiefs spending spree is on the cards

Here’s how we’d spend R69 Million right now.

SALIM MAGOOLA (RICHARDS BAY) – FREE

Chiefs were interested in signing Nigeria and Chippa goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali. However, the 27-year-old, who was a standout performer at Afcon with the Super Eagles, would fetch a transfer fee of over R35 Million. According to iDiski Times, Amakhosi are looking at the potential free transfer of Richards Bay keeper Salim Magoola. The Natal Rich Boys are struggling to fend off relegation this season. Magoola has kept only four clean sheets in 19 league appearances this term.

FAWAAZ BASADIEN (STELLENBOSCH) – R9M

It’ll be difficult to prize the Stellies left-back away from the Winelands seeing as though he’s reportedly signed a new deal with Steve Barker’s high-flying team. Will he want to move away from such an ambitious project? With Sifiso Hlanti on his way out of Naturena, it’s a deal that the club will be keen to sort out, pronto. It’s urgent.

KEGAN JOHANNES (SUPERSPORT) – R7M

Rumoured Chiefs target Kegan Johannes has reportedly signed a new deal with Matsatsantsa. The versatile Cape Town-born 23-year-old can operate in several positions, specialising at right back but he’s more than comfortable in central areas too. Johannes has appeared 16 times in the league this term. His versatility would be a huge bonus for the incoming boss and solve a problem position on the right side of defence.

SPHEPHELO SITHOLE (TONDELA) – R18M

Tondela and Bafana Bafana man nicknamed ‘Yaya’ churned out some storming performances at Afcon 2023. He’s appeared 17 times in the second-tier of Portuguese football this term, scoring twice and assisting twice. With reported interest from Italy’s Serie A, the combative 25-year-old midfield maestro won’t come cheap.

IQRAAM RAYNERS (STELLENBOSCH) – R15M

The red-hoot attacker is another man who might need some serious convincing to leave Stellenbosch. He’s in outstanding form this season, bagging eight goals and two assists in 21 league appearances. He’s also shone in the Nedbank Cup, providing a goal and five assists in three appearances.

ELIAS MOKWANA (SEKHUKHUNE) – R20M

According to a report from iDiski Times, it would take R35 million to prize Elias Mokwana, Babina Noko’s jewel in the crown, away from Sekhukhune. Let’s be realistic, that number will drop sharply once Sekhukhune receives some formal offers for the Bafana Bafana man. He’s got four goals and four assists in 18 league appearances this term, a stellar output for a wideman.

And there you have it, a R69 Million ready-made shopping list.
