TV presenter and actor Tshepo Maseko has been announced as host of Showmax’s upcoming show, Ubuthe Uzobuya.

TSHEPO MASEKO SCORES TV HOSTING GIG

Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela reports that Tshepo Maseko is the host a Showmax’s new relationship show called Ubuthe Uzobuya.

Showmax reveals that they selected Tshepo Maseko as host of the upcoming show because he stood out.

“We auditioned several talented hosts, but Tshepo stood out for his ability to make people feel comfortable and open up quickly. He excels in conflict resolution, possesses a sharp wit, and knows how to lighten the mood, even when tensions are high.”

TVSA reports that Maseko has hosted TV shows such as Ba Kae and Gospel Classic.

The actor and TV presenter is famously known for playing Parsons Matebane in Isidingo 

BACKGROUND OF ‘UBUTHE UZOBUYA’

Showmax reveals that Ubuthe Uzobuya delves into the lives of couples torn apart when one partner abruptly disappears without explanation.

The series explores the heart-wrenching stories of those who were once deeply in love, only to be left in uncertainty.

It is produced by Barkers Media, who are the creative minds behind Shebeen Queens, The Bala Family and How to Manifest a Man.

The focus of the show is to track down the missing partner to uncover their reasons for leaving.

In the final segment, the person who vanished must confront their past and decide whether to return to their former life or embrace the new one they’ve built. Each episode promises to deliver powerful revelations and heartfelt moments.

Ubuthe Uzobuya premieres on Showmax from 29 October.
