In a significant turn of events, Mohbad’s management officially announced his departure from the record label on Tuesday, October 25. His legal team issued a statement, citing Mohbad’s exit as a consequence of continuous attacks orchestrated by Naira Marley and unpaid royalties dating back to 2019.

This tumultuous episode unfolded just weeks after Mohbad took to Twitter on October 5, sharing disturbing images of bloodied bodies and claiming that he had been assaulted by members of the Marlian crew. His request for a change of manager apparently triggered this violent incident. He pleaded with the world for help, stating, “Just because I want to change my manager who is their brother, see what they did to me at Marlian House. World pls help me oo I’m dying inside.”

Mohbad further revealed that he had undergone a CT Scan for head injuries and a chest X-ray as a result of the assault. He emphasized that he wasn’t under the influence of any substances, countering claims that he was merely high.

Notably, Mohbad accused Naira Marley of being present during the assault and failing to intervene. Additionally, he accused Marlian Music record label of failing to fulfill their agreement to pay him royalties and advances since 2019. According to the legal document, “You have also failed to pay all royalties due to our client from all his intellectual property works monetized, released, and utilized by you from 2019 till date.”
